Duff McKagan has released a new single called I Saw God On 10th Street.
The acoustic guitar-led rock'n'roll track arrives as the latest preview of the Guns N' Roses bassist's third solo album, 'Lighthouse', due out on October 20. Introducing the song, he said:
"I picture him as an old guy with white beard and hair, leaning up against a wall on a city street. The ultimate jurist of us all. Pissed off, squinting eyes to ward off what he sees, spitting frequently with no care for who may be around. The Creator. God. Allah, Shiva...or whomever. I think I see him sometimes over on 10th St., hands in tight fists, and toes curled up and tense."
In June, McKagan shared the first details of the record, which is to feature collaborations with his bandmate Slash, Iggy Pop and Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell. He also preiously dropped the title track.
Guns N' Roses will embark on another round of North American shows in the fall, which will include a headline slot at Sacramento's Aftershock Festival.
