The Joy Formidable have shared a new single called Cut Your Face.
Propelled by driving bass and percussion, layered with hypnotic synths and breathy vocals, it's the first of three new songs to be released by the Welsh alt-rock band ahead of their UK tour in September.
Head below to view the track's accompanying video, created by Francesca Lawrence. Singer Ritzy Bryan said:
"Cut Your Face is a reminder to myself that even in shyness, when that voice is telling you to hide away, that what I really want is deep, authentic connection. The only way to satisfy that longing is to be vulnerable, messy and imperfect…and life is all the more beautiful because of it."
The power trio will kick off their Cradle You Again Tour on September 20 in Glasgow. The trek includes several gigs that were originally scheduled for the spring.
Ahead of the dates, they'll appear at Beautiful Days festival in Devon and Outwith Festival in Dunfermline, alongside shows in Tauton and Sheffield supporting Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. They'll also play a pre-tour gig in Aberdeen on September 8.
The group's last album was 2021's 'Into The Blue'.
