Taylor Swift Announces October Release For '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

Taylor Swift has announced her next re-release album will be 2014's '1989'.
'1989 (Taylor’s Version)' will arrive on October 27, with the superstar confirming the news on stage during the sixth night of her Eras Tour shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California last night (August 9).
The singer followed up the announcement with a post on social media, revealing that the reworked edition will include five previously unreleased tracks. She wrote:
"Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you soon! The '1989' album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the five From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!
'1989' marked the 33-year-old's fifth studio album, and includes the hit singles Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style and Wildest Dreams.
Swift has been re-recording the albums from her discography that were sold by her former label Big Machine to Scooter Braun, a move she openly condemned. In 2021, she put out new versions of 'Fearless' and 'Red', followed by a new version of 'Speak Now' this July. She dropped her 10th studio album, 'Midnights', in 2022.
Swift recently announced a second North American leg of the Eras Tour for October and November 2024. Registration with Ticketmaster's Verified Fan system for access to tickets has now closed. Registrants should look out for an email with further information.
She has concerts scheduled in Mexico later in August, and has dates in Argentina and Brazil in the diary for later this year. In 2024, she'll take the tour to Japan, Australia, Singapore, Europe and the UK.
