The Rifles have laid out plans for a new studio album.
The long-awaited follow-up to 2016's 'Big Life' is titled 'Love Your Neighbour' and will arrive on April 26. Vocalist Joel Stoker commented:
"'Love Your Neighbour' is about coming together in this chaotic world. It’s about being present, ditching the phone, and connecting with those around us. This album is about capturing those everyday moments we all know too well, wrapped in tunes you can belt out."
As a preview, the London indie-rockers have dropped the record's lively lead single, The Kids Won't Stop, a punchy and poppy guitar-led track that begs for a singalong. Stoker continued: "The Kids Won't Stop mirrors our lives right now: non-stop and full-on, but we’ve still got that classic Rifles energy. It’s a sneak peek into the album’s vibe."
Recorded at Stoker's home studio in London, it follows the frontman's 2023 debut solo album, 'The Undertow', as well as a 2017 singles collection from the band. They've also put out an acoustic album recorded at Abbey Road Studios and a 2020 live album capturing a show at London's Roundhouse.
Having previewed new music at their London show at the Electric Ballroom last month, they'll play their annual Christmas party show at Lafayette in London on December 21.
