Aurora has returned with a new single, The Flood.
The emotive track finds the Norwegian singer honing in on personal struggles, while showcasing her signature ethereal alt-pop sound and soaring vocal range. She said:
"This is a song about the invisible enemy. What brings you anger, what brings you worry and sadness. What makes you crawl into yourself instead of meeting the world fully. A song about searching for someone or something to blame, when you know perfectly well that the only solution lies within yourself."
It marks her first release since her fifth studio album, 2024's ‘What Happened To The Heart?’, and the resurfacing of her 2016 song Through The Eyes of a Child in the recent Netflix series Adolescence.
Aurora will bring her What Happened To The Earth? Tour back to Europe this spring, with the run including a sold-out London date at the OVO Arena Wembley on May 3. She also leads the line-up for Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
