The Black Crowes have returned with details of their first album in 15 years.
Helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce, 'Happiness Bastards' will arrive through the legendary rock group's own Silver Arrow Records on March 15, following up the 2010 acoustic compilation 'Croweology'.
Comprising 10 tracks and featuring guest vocals from country superstar Lainey Wilson on Wilted Rose, the record marks The Black Crowes’ 10th studio album. As a preview, reconciled brothers Chris and Rich Robinson have shared its lead single, Wanting And Waiting, a bright and soulful rock groove that offers a catchy chorus and hook, complete with gospel backing singers. Chris Robinson said:
"'Happiness Bastards' is our love letter to rock n’ roll. Rich and I are always writing and creating music; that has never stopped for us, and it is always where we find harmony together. This record represents that."
"This album is a continuation of our story as a band," added his brother Rich. "Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce. I am incredibly proud of what we put together."
The band will celebrate the upcoming LP with UK, European and North American tour dates this year, details of which are due to be confirmed soon.
