Sam Evian has announced his fourth studio album.
The American musician and producer will release 'Plunge' on March 22 via his new imprint Flying Cloud Recordings/Thirty Tigers. Self-produced at his own Flying Cloud Studios, which is tucked away in the Catskill mountains, it features contributions from Big Thief‘s Adrianne Lenker, Palehound's El Kempner, Liam Kazar and Sean Mullins.
As a preview, Evian has shared the record's uplifting first single and opening track, Wild Days, which is built on a hypnotic rhythm and '70s psych-rock-influenced guitars. It was written from his mother’s perspective and comes with a video by CJ Harvey that captures Evian's work in the studio.
The singer-songwriter will play Bristol's Simple Things festival on February 24, followed by dates in London and Paris. He also has US shows lined up in the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
