Sinkane, aka Ahmed Gallab, has announced his first studio album in five years.
'We Belong' will arrive on April 5, following up the Sudanese-American musician's 2019 LP 'Dépaysé' and his 2022 live record, 'Cartoons in the Night Vol. I (Live 2019)'.
Dubbed a love letter to Black music and culture in all its forms, it's previewed by the single How Sweet Is Your Love, a fusion of electro-funk, Afropop and disco that comes with a video shot by Bảo Ngô.
"How Sweet Is Your Love is about remaining in the present and feeling all of your feelings as fully as possible," said Gallab. "It dares you to prove the sweetness of your love, to your loves!"
On the accompanying clip, he added: "One of my singers, Ifedayo, thought it would be a great idea for me to reach out to Haus of Tisci for a collab on this music video. Their spirit embodies the love and energy of this song. Radical self joy to the max!
"STOUT, who is featured on 'We Belong', is a part of these Ballroom legends so I reached out. Next thing I knew, we were shooting this video. They did a wonderful job of welcoming us all in to this song. Free your mind and your ass will follow!"
The artist previously teased the project with the 2023 single Everything Is Everything featuring vocalist Tru Osborne.
Gallab has also confirmed details of a spring London show, that will see him take over the Moth Club on May 15. Tickets are on sale now.
