The Brit Awards' organisers have announced the Songwriter Of The Year and Producer Of The Year award winners ahead of this weekend's ceremony.
Raye, who landed a record-breaking seven Brit nominations in categories including Artist Of The Year and Mastercard Album Of The Year, has scooped this year's Songwriter Of The Year prize. Previous winners of the award include Ed Sheeran and Kid Harpoon. She said:
“I am so so honoured and blown away, honestly to be given this prestigious award for Songwriter of the Year, it is my very first BRIT award and I will treasure this trophy very much. I am so grateful to be recognised as a songwriter as this is a craft I am so passionate about and have been since I started my journey as a musician, and I’m very grateful to those who voted for me to have this award.”
The singer-songwriter will also take to the stage at the awards ceremony, with Becky Hill and Chase and Status, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa, Jungle, Kylie Minogue, Rema and Tate McRae also set to perform. Minogue was also previously confirmed as this year's Global Icon.
Chase And Status, meanwhile, have been honoured with Producer Of The Year. The London duo commented:
"We couldn’t be more proud – we’ve been flying the flag for British music now for a long time, we’re super proud of all the music that has come out of the UK. As producers, and as a creative duo, I think we are probably in one of the best places we’ve been."
The Last Dinner Party have already been announced as the recipients of the 2024 BRITs Rising Star award. For a full list of nominations head here.
The awards ceremony will take place this Saturday (March 2) at the O2 Arena in London, hosted by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama and Roman Kemp. The event will also be broadcast live on ITV.
Raye is currently in the middle of a run of rescheduled UK shows, ahead of a headline show at London's O2 Arena on March 15, which will see her perform her 2023 debut album 'My 21st Century Blues' in full. Tickets are on sale now.
Chase And Status are also on the road in the UK, and have three dates lined up at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse this weekend. Later in the spring they'll play US, Australian and New Zealand shows, before appearances at UK festivals Boardmasters and TRNSMT this summer. They released their latest album, '2 RUFF, Vol 1', in 2023.

For us, winning producer of the year is a special moment in our career. Being producers is such an important part of who we are as artists and to be recognised for that at the highest level is an honour. #chaseandstatus#britspic.twitter.com/l5bMyCpMqi
