Liam Payne has returned with a new single, Teardrops.
Arriving via Republic Records, the soulful track pulls inspiration from late '90s and early '00s pop and reflects on the emotions that come with a relationship.
Written with long-time collaborator Jamie Scott and JC Chasez of *NSYNC, it arrives after what the former One Direction star described as, a "year long process of self-reflection." Commenting on the song, he said:
"Teardrops is about the vulnerability of heartbreak and the challenge of overcoming those moments. This song marks the start of a new beginning, there’s lots more to come in 2024."
Payne released his debut solo album, 'LP1', in 2019 through Capitol Records.
