Himalayas have shared a new track, V.O.V.

Helmed by in-demand producer Dan Lancaster, the anthemic alt-rock track was co-written by the Cardiff quartet and AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, who after hearing their music offered the lyrics to the band. Johnson commented:

"When I was played their recordings, I immediately thought they were the perfect band for the song; the attack they bring to V.O.V is musical violence, brilliant!!"

Himalayas added: "V.O.V is a song of resistance and struggle against violence and suffering. We wanted to talk of contrasting worlds and how the cracks between them are so readily paved over. Brian was really complimentary of our music and what we had achieved so far, something we were really grateful for."

The group, who released their debut album 'From Hell To Here' last year, will support Taking Back Sunday at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on March 27 and Cardiff's University Great Hall the next day.

In the summer, they'll feature on the supporting bill for Foo Fighters' huge gig at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on June 25.

AC/DC, meanwhile, will bring their Power Up Tour across Europe beginning this spring, with massive shows lined up at London's Wembley Stadium on July 3 and 7, as well as Dublin’s Croke Park on August 17.
