Penned with frequent collaborators Mati Schwartz and Vera Carlbom while touring the US with Ed Sheeran, the pop track serves as the first preview of a new body of work due out later in the year via Island Records. Introducing the song, the English singer said:
"I understand that there is power in being the bigger person, and that 'the best revenge is to have enough self-worth to not seek it', but sometimes that is not always the answer. My perfect revenge is releasing a song called Perfect Revenge. I am hoping the person the song is about will hear it everywhere they go, making me completely inescapable. You can run, but you can’t hide!"
It follows the rising British artist's world tour earlier this year, as well as her February single The Alibi, and 2023's Liar Liar with Dan Smith of Bastille and Rebel Child.
She released her debut mixtape, 'The Greatest Thing I'll Never Learn', in 2022.
