The Des Moines nu-metal firebrands, featuring vocalist Griffin Taylor and Simon Crahan, sons of Slipknot members Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, will release the self-titled record on September 20.
Produced by Chris Collier and comprising 13 tracks, including their previously shared singles Am I The Only One, The Far Side and Nihilism, the LP mirrors everything that Vended stand for. Vocalist Griffin Taylor explained:
"There’s a level of aggression and emotion that's missing from music right now, and we aim to fill that void on this album. It represents everything that Vended are about. 'Fuck your ignorance, just grab a hold of it.' You’re either with us or against us. Vended is a unit aimed at world domination, and this album is the first step. Welcome to Vended."
To coincide with the news, Vended have scheduled their first headline US tour for the fall, with support coming from Wristmeetrazor and Lie. Their own dates will follow their run of North American shows with Slipknot and Knocked Loose, and a slot at Knotfest in Des Moines, Iowa on September 21.
