Jamie xx has enlisted The Avalanches for a new song.
All You Children serves as the latest preview his long-awaited sophomore album, 'In Waves', which is due out on September 20 via Young. The pulsing dance track also marks the second collaboration between the British producer and Australian electronic group, who previously teamed up on Wherever You Go from The Avalanches' 2020 LP, 'We Will Always Love You'. Introducing the new cut, he said:
"The Avalanches have always been an inspiration for me. Their sample technique and how they piece together different sounds is incredible, and collaborating on a track with them has showed me new ways of making music."
The DJ previously teased the follow-up to 2015's 'In Colour' with the singles Life with Robyn, Treat Each Other Right, and Baddy On The Floor with Honey Dijon. Other guests set to appear on the record include Panda Bear, Kelsey Lu, and The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim.
In September, Jamie xx will play two dates at London's Alexandra Palace as part of his In Waves Tour. Tickets are on sale now.
