American Football Announce 25th Anniversary Reissue Of Self-Titled Debut Album And Covers Edition

American Football will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album with two new releases.
The Illinois emo pioneers will drop a remastered version of the 1999 self-titled LP, as well as a covers edition featuring its tracks recorded by a range of acts, on October 18.
The anniversary edition of 'American Football' will arrive in spot embossed and silver foil gatefold packaging, complete with a 24-page booklet, while the covers LP features contributions from Iron And Wine, Ethel Cain, Manchester Orchestra and more.
Previewing both releases, the four-piece have shared a remastered edition of Never Meant, and Iron And Wine's rendition of the same track, taken from the covers record. American Football will celebrate the milestone with previously scheduled UK tour dates in September, followed by a run of US shows in the fall, which include an appearance at Best Friends Forever festival in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now.
The band released their latest album, their third self-titled LP, in 2019.
