Lonely Is The Muse is a downcast, melodic alt-rock track, musically far removed from its poppy predecessor Lucky, though both find the singer delivering emotionally candid lyrics.
The two songs, as well as her June single The End, will appear on Halsey's fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2021's 'If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power'. Further details have not yet been confirmed, though in March she revealed on social media that she is working on new music alongside producer, musician and songwriter Alex G.
