Primal Scream have shared another single from their upcoming 12th studio album.
Offering flamenco guitars and shimmering backing vocals underpinned by a throbbing bassline, Deep Dark Waters marks the second taster of 'Come Ahead', due out on November 8 via BMG. Introducing the dark, lo-fi track, vocalist Bobby Gillespie said:
"Deep Dark Waters is influenced by the writings of Franco 'Bifo' Berardi. It contains a warning from history. "Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it."
It follows the record's lead single, Love Insurrection, and arrives with a video directed by renowned filmmaker, and the band's frequent collaborator, Douglas Hart.
Primal Scream will support Alice Cooper at his arena shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds in October. Tickets are on sale now.
