Fantastic Negrito Announces New Album 'Son Of A Broken Man', Shares Two Tracks

Fantastic Negrito, aka Xavier Amin Dphrepaulezz, has laid out plans for his new album.
The follow-up to 2023's 'Grandfather Courage' is titled 'Son Of A Broken Man' and will arrive on October 18 via the multi-Grammy Award-winning artist's own Storefront Records. Commenting on his most personal body of work to date, he said:
"When I was 12 years old, my dad stopped talking to me and kicked me out of the house. I never saw him again and he ended up dying while I was in foster care. This is me talking to him and telling him what I’ve done with my life."
To coincide with the announcement, Dphrepaulezz has shared two tracks from the record, California Loner and Runaway From You. The former combines elements of R&B and soul, while the latter is a more bluesy, psychedelic affair.
Fantastic Negrito will follow the record's release with tour dates in the US, South America, the UK and Europe, with the latter leg including shows in London, Gloucester and Manchester in late October. Tickets are on sale now.
