Sting Releases New Single Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)

Sting has shared a new single, I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart).
The uptempo rocker finds the former Police frontman singing in a more gravelly tone, and was recorded with guitarist and longtime collaborator Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, with whom the singer-songwriter has formed a new band.
It marks the Grammy Award-winner's first new music since his 2021 album, 'The Bridge', and arrives ahead of the power trio's upcoming Sting 3.0 Tour across North America, which kicks off in Detroit on September 17, with dates continuing through to mid-November. Tickets are on sale now.
Sting will also perform at this year's BBC Radio 2 In The Park, which takes over Moor Park in Preston, Lancashire this weekend (September 6 - 8). The Park Pre-Party will take place today, before Sting, headlines on Saturday, followed by Pet Shop Boys topping the bill on Sunday.
