Chubby And The Gang have shared another track from their third album.
Cocaine Sunday finds singer Charlie Manning exploring a different side of his songwriting, offering a sullen and contemplative, piano-led sound instead of the usual rowdy, fusion of punk-rock and rock 'n' roll.
Head below to view the accompanying Nick Suchak-directed video, which finds Manning confronting his vices. He said:
"Nothing makes me feel regret like waking up on a Sunday knowing the last few days have gone out the window for nothing. This song is about the lament I feel not only in the short term, but also the long term. Love I lost. Friends I've lost. Regret. But the only way to make myself feel better is to carry on. Live a life I was meant to. Just letting each Sunday pass me by."
The ballad will feature on 'And Then There Was...', the follow-up to 2021's 'The Mutt’s Nuts', which is due out on October 4 through the group's new label home, Flatspot Records. The Londoners previously teased the record with the singles There's A Devil In The Jukebox, To Be Young and The Bonnie Banks.
Chubby And The Gang will follow an autumn European tour with a trio of UK shows in December, with gigs lined up in London, Manchester and Glasgow. Tickets are on sale.

Tue December 03 2024 - LONDON Moth Club
