"Weird Al" Yankovic has announced a huge tour of North America for summer 2025.
The 65-date Bigger & Weirder Tour will launch with a week of shows in Las Vegas between June 13 and 21, before hitting the road for three months, wrapping up on September 20 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Having played smaller venues with scaled back production on his last two world tours, the new trek will see Yankovic performing on big stages with full production for the first time in six years.
The shows will find the song parody king performing, "iconic hits and fan favorites which have never been performed live." There'll also be a giant video wall, multiple costume changes and an eight-piece ensemble featuring Al's original band. He said:
"This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour. We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans – but with twice as many players on stage, everything is going to sound twice as good!"
Puddles Pity Party will open the shows, and tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 27).
Back in the summer, Yankovic dropped the single Polkamania!, a medley of some of the biggest songs of the last 10 years by artists such as Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Adele and Taylor Swift. It was released to mark the 10th anniversary of his most recent studio album, 2014's 'Mandatory Fun'.
In 2022, Daniel Radcliffe portrayed the artist in the film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
