The Darkness have shared a video for their latest single, I Hate Myself.
The self-deprecating glam-rock track arrived in December as the second taster of the Lowestoft band's eighth studio album, 'Dreams On Toast', due out on March 28 via Cooking Vinyl.
The Simon Emmett-directed clip, meanwhile, was shot in one take and features vocalist Justin Hawkins as you've never seen him before. Hawkins said:
"I love working with Simon Emmett. Everything we have collaborated on has turned out great so far. This is no exception. The concept is related to the self-loathing that the song itself lyrically explores. And I feel like the visual accompaniment has taken this song to the next level, and it was already my favourite Darkness song ever. I can't wait for everybody to see it - it means a lot to me… and I'm here for the conversation. I love you all. I just hate myself."
Alongside the video, the band have revealed the 'Dreams On Toast' tracklist, which includes their 2024 single The Longest Kiss. Take a look below.
The Darkness will support the follow-up to 2021's 'Motorheart' with tour dates in the spring, their biggest headline run across the UK yet. Support will come from Ash. In the summer, they'll play Download festival in June and Belfast's CHSq concert series in August. Tickets are on sale now.
