The Weeknd has pushed back the release of his sixth studio album.
'Hurry Up Tomorrow' was originally set for release on January 24. However, due to the devastating Los Angeles fires, the Canadian superstar has decided to postpone the album until January 31.
The 34-year-old artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has also cancelled the special album release concert that was scheduled to take place at Los Angeles' Rose Bowl on January 25. Taking to Instagram, he wrote:
"Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles county, the Rose Bowl show has been cancelled and the album date has been postponed to 01.31.25."
The project will serve as the final chapter in The Weeknd's trilogy of records that began with 2020's 'After Hours' and continued with 2022's 'Dawn FM'. A tracklist is still to be unveiled, though it's expected to feature the singles Dancing In The Flames, Timeless featuring Playboi Carti, and São Paulo with Anitta.
A film inspired by the new album, also called Hurry Up Tomorrow, is due to be released in the spring.
