Sex Pistols To Release Three New Live Albums Recorded In 1978

Sex Pistols will put out three live albums this year.
Recorded in Atlanta, Dallas and San Francisco during the punk pioneers' infamous 1978 US tour, the three legendary concerts will be released for the first time on special edition coloured vinyl before becoming available as a three-CD collection and digitally.
'Sex Pistols–Live In The USA 1978: Great South East Music Hall, Atlanta, 5th January 1978' will be available on red vinyl on February 28, followed by 'Sex Pistols–Live In The USA 1978: Longhorns Ballroom, Dallas, 10th January 1978' on white vinyl on March 28. The third album, 'Sex Pistols–Live In The USA 1978: Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, 14th January 1978' will arrive on blue vinyl on April 25.
All three records are newly mastered and capture Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), Paul Cook, Steve Jones and Sid Vicious' final shows together, though the original members of the band did reform in 1996. Head here for pre-orders.
Sex Pistols' Cook, original bassist Glen Matlock and Jones will be joined by vocalist Frank Carter to perform the band's 1977 album, 'Never Mind The Bollocks', in full at a Summer Sessions all-dayer in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on June 21. Support will come from The Stranglers, The Undertones, Buzzcocks, The Skids and The Rezillos.
They'll do the same as part of the Margate Summer Series at Dreamland on August 23, joined by Buzzcocks. They'll also appear at Download festival and Boomtown Fair in the summer. Tickets are on sale now.
The punk pioneers and renowned frontman first performed together in August last year, before touring the UK in September.
Lydon, meanwhile, will hit the road with Public Image Ltd for a UK tour throughout the spring and summer, to which extra dates have been added due to demand. Tickets for those shows are on sale now.
