Ezra Collective are back with a new single, Body Language.
Arriving via Partisan Records, the vibrant, dancey track incorporates Latin-derived influences, with smooth trumpet tones and serene piano, guided by strong, husky vocals from British-Colombian singer-songwriter Sasha Keable.
Its follows the 2023 Mercury Prize-winners' Latin American tour and an extensive European leg, and marks their first single since the release of their 2024 album, 'Dance, No One’s Watching’. Drummer and bandleader, Femi Koleoso said:
"Body Language is a tribute to the Latin American communities of London that deeply inspire us. A collaboration with a friend who has been part of the EZ family for years. The language of the body is dancing and this song is a celebration of this."
"I’m so happy to be coming full circle with the boys on this collab after touring years ago together," Keable added. "It feels like the timing couldn’t be better as we get ready to road test Body Language in Latin America, my motherland. This record holds a special place in my heart on so many levels."
The London jazz group will perform at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse on March 27 as part of the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival. Head here for more details. They'll also co-headline London's Cross The Tracks festival with Michael Kiwanuka in May. Tickets are on sale now.
