Stereophonics are back in the studio mixing songs or their upcoming seventh studio album, due out later this year, on the back of their headlining appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival where the band performed a greatest hits set.
They knocked out old hits including 'Bartender and the Thief', 'Just Looking', 'A Thousand Trees', 'Dakota', 'Maybe Tomorrow', 'Local Boy in the Photograph' and 'Handbags and Gladrags'.
The Welsh band also performed the new song 'Innocent', which was only the second time the band had played the track live following their warm up shows in Wolverampton and Reading in the days prior to the festival.
"We're playing some new songs including 'Innocent'... It's hard for 55,000 to escape from an island." Kelly joked.
Meanwhile Kelly says he doesn't mind rolling out the band's back catalogue of hits at festival events.
He said: "I don't think a festival is a place to be over clever really, I think there's a lot of people here from all walks of life and fans of all different bands and you've kind of got to give them what they want which is big songs they can dance and drink to, and that's what we do."
