American idol winning pop-moppet Kelly Clarkson whose records sales officially reached ‘silly’ some time ago, who keeps her awards in a skip and brushes her teeth with money (probably) is touring for her latest album ‘All I ever Wanted.’ Click here for tickets.
Clarkson is keen to point out that she has taken her music in another direction, not death metal alas. She describes a mixed bag, some songs “with a more soulful, 70’s rock vibe”, others more clubby/dancey stuff, one track that’s like “the Killers meet the Eurythmics” and, her own work, ‘Cry’ which she describes as “basically a country song with pop production, incredibly sad but strong.” It seems she’s taken her music in every direction then. A death metal track doesn’t seem so silly now, does it? Fingers crossed.
Clarkson is touring the UK on the following dates
Feb 07 - Apollo, Manchester
Feb 09 - Echo Arena, Liverpool
Feb 13 - O2 Academy, Birmingham
Feb 15 - Int'nl Centre, Bournemouth
Feb 17 - International Arena, Cardiff
Feb 19 - Wembley Arena, London
