Hailing from Weybridge in Surrey, You Me at Six are rising in the rock world like a toothy fish-beast beneath an idly swimming bikini-clad beauty. They started in 2005 and it took them two years to get noticed. They used to travel on the megabus to their gigs. Over 2006 and 2007, they built up a respectable fanbase, sold out gigs, supported Paramore and the rest, as they say, is business studies. In both 2008 and 2009, they were nominated for Best British Band at the Kerrang! awards.
Currently polishing their second album, YMAS’s notoriously incendiary live show has hit London’s Roundhouse, as well as the Download Festival, Reading, Leeds and T in the Park. 2009 will see them supporting Paramore once again on their December UK arena tour. 2010 will see them touring solo.
