Brazilian thrash metal outfit Sepultura have announced a UK 25th anniversary tour for July.
The group who pioneered an innovative metal sound throughout the '90s will play seven shows, kicking off in Bristol on July 14, and wrapping up in London on July 22.
Their hardcore sound balanced with lyrics addressing the political and environmental issues of the world have attracted millions of fans worldwide. In 1998, they enlisted new vocalist Derrick Green after Max Cavalera left to form Soulfly, and the arrival of new drummer Jean Dolabella came in 2006, with the band going from strength to strength.
Having released seven studio albums so far, their latest offering being ‘A-Lex’ in 2009, the group have sold over 15 million records worldwide, gaining multiple gold and platinum records in countries across the globe, including Australia, Indonesia, United States, Cypus, their native Brazil, and France.
