Keane keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley has spoken out about his admiration for US rapper Kanye West. The band’s chief songwriter said he regarded Kanye as “one of the great musical pioneers of our age”.
The UK band began working on a collaboration with the rapper in December after a chance meeting in a Parisian recording studio. Speaking to XFM, Rice-Oxley added: “we’ve done some things together and spent a bit of time together and he’s a very inspiring man to be around”.
Rising from the middle of the road mist from where they’ve been hiding, Keane are set to release a new eight track EP called ‘Night Train’ on May 10th. Quite how it’s not a new album and rather an EP is beyond us here at Stereoboard Towers but never one to judge, we sit smugly in an awkward air of intrigue…as you should too.
