US four-piece Vampire Weekend are back and bashing out their preppy-indie rock tunes for our listening pleasure. 'Giving Up The Gun' the third release from latest album Contra, is a twinkling delight of song building in a crescendo of cascading sound and warmly delighting in only a way New Yorkers Vampire Weekend can.
The videos also a joy to behold as it centres on a tennis match in which a young woman faces off against Joe Jonas; Jake Gyllenhaal, who swigs from a flask and rips off his jeans; and Lil Jon, who sports a Panama hat and speaks in subtitled French. The match is judged by the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, wdressed like a character from The Matrix...ENJOY!
