Sensorites will release their debut single ‘Spacemen’ on April 26th 2010. You can listen to the track below.
Sensorites are brothers Natham & Gareth Kirkham originally from Stoke-on-Trent but now living on the Mersey. They work and write from their own studio aptly named ‘The Batcave’, which promises to turn into something more like ‘The Hit Factory’ once this gets out.
Like a lot of brothers from up north passion abounds from their heartfelt tunes which have all the pop sensibilities of other Scouse masters from The La’s, Shack, The Coral and The Zutons through to Lightning Seeds, Cast and Gomez.
Lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Natham says: "Spacemen is a social comment on the impression of freedom. Waiting for the kettle to boil I found myself playing what is now 'Spacemen' on guitar. My brother’s head turns; he grabs his bass & joins in. I start singing & the words flow. We finish, I rush for a pen & capture the lyrics before they disappear."
And that’s how it’s done!
Spacemen is released on CD, 12" vinyl and download. Tracklisting is as follows:
