World famous funny man Ricky Gervais has confirmed a six-day September residency at London’s Hammersmith Apollo as part of his UK ‘Science’ tour.
The comedian’s latest jaunt will be his fourth stand-up tour following on from the success of ‘Animals’, ‘Politics’ and ‘Fame’. His previously confirmed ‘Science’ shows scheduled to hit Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin and Wembley Arena are completely sold out.
However fans who were disappointed at not bagging a ticket for the initial shows need no longer be sad, as tickets for the Hammersmith gigs - taking place from 6th to 11th September - will be going on sale this Friday.
‘Science’ could well be the last national UK tour for the Office star who has recently been linked to rumours of a permanent move to the US after his involvement in a number of Hollywood films.
Despite being named a ‘Science’ tour, the show itself doesn’t consist of much actual science. Although fans can expect the usual mix of politically incorrect and religious topics ranging from gypsies to fat people and also the myth of Noah’s Ark.
The Extra’s comic, who a few months ago hosted the Golden Globe Awards, is currently working on promoting his new film ‘Cemetery Junction’ and animated TV series ‘The Ricky Gervais Show’ which starts on Channel 4 from the 23rd April.
