Sigur Ros Frontman Jonsi Announces September UK Tour & Tickets

The Icelandic lead singer of Sigur Ros, Jonsi, has confirmed that he will be returning to the UK for an Autumn tour.
With Sigur Ros currently on a temporary hiatus to “have babies”, the frontman has decided to try his hand at going solo. Earning himself the status of a cult icon thanks to his extrodinary vocal wail, Jonsi has been part of the Icelandic group that has become a pre-eminent post-rock band who use their own instruments and even their own language.
Heading out on the road alone, Jonsi’s debut album ‘Go’ was released earlier this month and received brilliant reviews. As well as delighting fans with his new record, he will now bring smiles to more faces with the confirmation of a series of show dates across the UK in September.
Providing a certain volcano doesn’t start throwing another tantrum, Jonsi is expected to visit Britain for a short tour across the country. Kicking off in Bristol on September 1st, the shows will hit Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bournemouth and Brighton.
Sigur Ros are expected to re-unite in early 2011 and continue with business as usual, crafting some wonderful music.
