The Modfather Paul Weller is all set for Number 1 on Sunday in the UK albums charts with his new album 'Wake Up The Nation'.
Weller's new LP goes head to head with AC/DC with their Iron Man 2 soundtrack competing for the top spot. Like a real life 'Mods Vs Rockers' battle - 50 years after the original battles on Brighton Beach!
Last night Paul performed an intimate show at the Garage in London to 600 lucky fans, where he was joined on stage by Noel Gallagher.
They pair performed Oasis' 'Mucky Fingers' and Paul's 'Echos Round The Sun' together.
The full set list for the gig was:
'Moonshine'
'Have You Made Up Your Mind'
'Aim High'
'All I Wanna Do (Is Be With You)'
'From The Floorboards Up'
'Fast Car / Slow Traffic'
'Strange Town'
'Whirlpools End'
'Mucky Fingers'
'Echoes Round The Sun'
'Wild Wood'
'Wake Up The Nation'
'No Tears To Cry'
'Come On Let's Go'
'Start!'
Last night's gig, organised for Virgin Media, will air on their Music on Demand service in June 2010.
