Bible Bashers To Picket Ronnie Dio's Memorial

Bible Bashers are in planning on picketing Ronnie James Dio’s memorial service in protest against the late singer’s alleged links with Satan.

As previously reported, a public memorial service will be held in LA on Sunday 30th May to give fans an opportunity to pay tribute to the metal icon who sadly lost his battle against Cancer on Sunday 16th May.

It has now been reported by website Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles that since the announcement of a memorial, American cult Westboro Baptist Church intend on crashing the service to protest against Dio’s alleged links to Satan-worshipping. The church have confirmed that they intend on witnessing the ceremony, accusing the singer of promoting the ‘devil horns’ sign, devil-worship and hating god.

It seems ridiculous when you think about it. If these idiots actually knew a bit of what they were actually talking about, they would understand that Ronnie’s trademark ‘devil-horns’ sign is actually an old European folk symbol, meant to indicate the warding off of the ‘evil eye’. The sign, which Dio picked up from his Italian grandmother, was adopted by the singer as a reaction to Ozzy Osbourne’s care-free onstage use of the peace symbol.

The church cult are very well known throughout the United States and you may have seen them featured on television once or twice, on one occasion appearing on ‘Louie Theroux’s Weird Weekends’ television show where he followed members of the church, documenting their beliefs and some of their appalling protests.

In a statement made by the church, members of the cult wanted to remind worshippers that, “you who worship that old serpent, Satan, that your time is very short”.

The message continued, “We’ll be there! Just because the chances of any of God’s elect being amongst this group of heavy metal sycophants is slim to none does not mean they should not get some good words.”

Idiots.
