Dinosaur Jr. are an alternative rock band from Amherst, Massachusetts.
Formed in 1984—originally as just Dinosaur—the band released their self-titled debut album in 1985, before becoming Dinosaur Jr. for their 1998 release, ‘Bug’. After disbanding in 1997, the band returned in 2005 and have gone from strength to strength ever since, with their twelfth studio album, 'Sweep It Into Space', arriving in 2021. Dinosaur Jr. will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their sixth studio album, 'Where You Been', with shows in Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2024, following a run of US shows in January.
