Howe Gelb Piano Trio is an American singer-songwriter, musician and producer from Tucson, Arizona.
He has released under the name Giant Sand and Giant Giant Sand since 1985, with the release of ‘Valley of Rain’. The latest release was ‘Heartbreak Pass’, in 2015. He has also released under the name The Band of Blacky Ranchette, producing four albums, the latest being, ‘Still Lookin' Good to Me’, in 2003 and his own name, with his latest release being 2016’s ‘Future Standards’. He has also been involved with bands such as OP8, Arizona Amp and Alternator, as well as co-writing tracks on KT Tunstall’s ‘Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon’.
