Kae Tempest is a spoken word artist and rapper from Brockley, South East London.
Starting their musical career in 2011 as a member of the band Sound of Rum, they have released several poetry books and novels across the course of their career, alongside three solo albums. They released their debut LP ‘Everybody Down’ in 2014, followed by 'Let Them Eat Chaos' in 2016, which were both nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Their most recent album was 'A Line Is A Curve', which arrived in 2022. They have headlined many shows and tours across the UK, Europe and North America, and have supported the likes of John Cooper Clarke and Billy Bragg. They have also appeared at festivals such as Glastonbury and Latitude. Kae Tempest will play a trio of intimate shows around their BBC 6 Music Festival headline slot in March 2025.
