KEM (a.k.a Kim Owens) is a RnB singer/songwriter and producer from Detroit, Michigan, America.
After leaving school KEM dealt with drug addiction and homelessness before turning to spirituality and music. He made his living as a singer in a wedding band, and waiting tables, and self-funded his debut album, ‘Kemistry’. Signing to Motown in 2011, he re-released his album in 2003, which went gold. He released a follow-up album, ‘Album II’ in 2005, which went platinum, and another two albums, ‘Intimacy: Album III’ (2010) and ‘Promise To Love’ (2014), as well as a Christmas album in 2012.
