LCD Soundsystem are a rock band from New York, consisting of frontman and producer James Murphy, alongside live performers.
The band formed in 2001, with their self-titled debut album following in 2005. They recorded three records together before splitting in 2011, shortly after the release of 'This Is Happening' the previous year, but reformed in 2016. Their fourth and most recent studio album, 'American Dream', then followed in 2017, with its lead single Tonite earning the band their first Grammy. LCD Soundsystem have eight shows lined up at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles in November 2024, followed by a 12-date residency at New York’s Knockdown Center in November and December.
