Metric are an indie rock band from Toronto, Canada.
Formed in 1998, the band have released nine albums to date, with the most recent being 2022's 'Formentera'. In 2023, they released 'Formentera II', a sequel and companion piece to 'Formentera'. Their efforts have earned them five Juno Awards, among other honours. Metric and Bloc Party have announced details of a joint North American tour for May and June 2025. The trek will see both bands performing their classic albums in full, with Metric running through 2009's 'Fantasies', and Bloc Party celebrating 2005's 'Silent Alarm'.
