Protest the Hero is a Canadian prog-metal outfit hailing from Whitby, Ontario. The band - Rody Walker, Tim Millar, Arif Mirabdolbaghi, and Luke Hoskin - formed as Happy Go Lucky in 2001, but soon settled on Protest the Hero. They've since made a name for themselves both sides of the pond, and have toured alongside almost every good modern metal band you can think of.
Originally signed to Underground Operations, they released their debut album 'Kezia' in 2005, but it was their second and third albums - 2008's 'Fortress' and 2011's 'Scurrilous' which saw them finding real success, with the former hitting #1 in their home-country. In 2013, they crowd-funded their fourth record 'Volition', and their lates, 'Pacific Mist', dropped in 2016. Protest The Hero and Norma Jean have announces 'Fortress' Vs 'Redeemer' co-Headline dates for July, celebrating the tenth anniversary of their seminal album.
