Skinlab are a metal band from San Francisco. Formed in 1994 by vocalist and bassist Steev Esquivel (formerly of Bay Area metal band Defiance) and guitarist Mike Roberts, guitarist Gary Wendt and and drummer Paul Hopkins, although the line up has since altered.
After releasing 3 full-length studio albums - 'Bound, Gagged and Blindfolded' in 1997, 'Disembody: The New Flash' in 1999, and 2002's 'ReVolting Room', Skinlab disbanded in 2003 following the departure of two core members. Esquivel and guitarst Steve "Snake Green" went on to form Re:Ignition. After a three-year hiatus, the band featuring line-up of Esquivel, Snake, Glen Telford and Paul Hopkins had reformed, and went on to release 'The Scars Between Us' in 2009. With nothing much going n since, the band would perform their debut album in full at various shows in 2016. In 2019, Skinlab are set to tour Australia, coheadlining with Pissing Razors.
