Steve Vai is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from Carle Place, New York.
Starting his music career in 1978 as a session and touring musician for Frank Zappa, he released his debut solo album, ‘Flex-Able’, in 1984. The following year, he joined David Lee Roth as lead guitarist, releasing a handful of albums before leaving in 1989. He is dropped his 10th studio album 'Inviolate' in 2022, followed by 'Vai/Gash' in 2023, a collaborative record that Vai and Johnny "Gash" Sombretto recorded in the '90s. Steve Vai will tour Australia and New Zealand in November 2023. Following that, for the first time ever, after over 50 years of friendship, Vai will team up with Joe Satriani for the co-headlining North American Satch-Vai Tour in spring 2024.
