Survivor are an American rock outfit hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1978, the band currently consists of two founding members, guitarist Frankie Sullivan and co-frontman Dave Bickler, alongside fellow frontman Jimi Jamison, longtime bassist Billy Ozzello and drummer Marc Droubay, and keyboard-player Walter Tolentino.
Known for their ‘arena-sized’ sound, Survivor are best known for tracks like Burning Heart, High On You, Is This Love, I Can’t Hold Back, and without doubt their biggest hit Eye of the Tiger, and have amassed a worldwide following over the years. Survivor are an awesome act live on stage, and despite their split and sporadic reunions, they’re still often seen touring and performing across all four corners of the globe, and continue to do so to this day. News that the band’s latest incarnation - which involves both Dave and Jimi - would be returning had fans thanking their lucky stars in 2013, with Survivor also said to be working on new material.
