Tamia Marilyn Hill is a singer, songwriter, producer and actress from Canada.
As a child, Tamia performed in various performing competitions, and then in 1994, Quincy Jones asked her to appear on his album 'Q's Jook Joint'. The appearance on tracks You Put a Move On My Heart and Slow Jams earned her Grammy Award nominations. She went on to release a self titled debut album in 1998, which was followed by a series of successful records through Elektra Records. In 2015, her sixth album 'Love Life' debuted and peaked at number two on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, becoming her highest-charting album. Tamia is a six-time Grammy Award nominee and has been nominated for numerous other awards and accolades, including a Soul Train Music Award, a Source Award and four Juno Awards. Having toured around the world during her heydey, Tamia is now set to play London's KOKO on March 1 2019.
