Tenacious D are a comedy rock duo from Los Angeles, California.

Consisting of actors and musicians Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the band formed in 1994 and released their self-titled debut album in 2001. Their hit single Tribute became a cult staple in rock music and in the mainstream, and the band gained further notoriety after releasing 'Pick of Destiny': an album that doubled as the soundtrack for their feature-length film of the same name.

The band have put out a further two studio albums to date, in the shape of 'Rize Of The Fenix' in 2012 and 'Post-Apocalypto' in 2018. Since then, they've put out standalone singles.
