The Beat (known as The English Beat in North America) are a ska band hailing from Birmingham.
Formed in 1998, they have released four albums to date, with the most recent being 'Here We Go Love' in 2018. Today, Dave Wakeling provides vocal duties, following the passing of long-time frontman Roger 'Ranking Roger' Charlery in 2019. As well as headlining their own shows across the world, they have also supported the likes of David Bowie, The Clash, The Police, The Pretenders, R.E.M., The Specials and Talking Heads on tour.
