Formed in 1978, the band released their debut album, 'Hard 'N' Heavy', in 1981, and have gone on to put out a total of 20 albums – the latest being 'One And Only' in 2024. In 2008, the band were the subject of the documentary film, Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which gave them a second surge in popularity. This led to support slots with AC/DC and Saxon, as well as festival appearances at Download and SXSW. Anvil will tour the UK and Ireland in October 2024.
